CallYourBesties Terms

Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of CallYourBesties, a mobile app for manually tracking friendships, reminders, talking points, and catch-up history. By creating an account, signing in, or using the app, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use CallYourBesties. If you use the app for or on behalf of someone else, you represent that you have authority to do so.

Accounts

You are responsible for your account, devices, login credentials, and the accuracy of information used to sign in. Keep your account secure and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

Personal-Use License

CallYourBesties grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for your personal, non-commercial relationship-maintenance purposes, subject to these Terms.

Your Content And Friend Information

You own the information you enter into CallYourBesties, including friend names, contact details, reminders, notes, talking points, catch-up logs, and friendship meeting dates. You give CallYourBesties a limited license to host, store, process, sync, display, and transmit that information only as needed to operate, maintain, secure, and support the app.

You are responsible for the information you enter about friends or other people. Do not enter information you do not have the right to use, information that violates someone else's rights, or information you would not be comfortable managing under these Terms and the Privacy Policy.

Respectful And Lawful Use

You may not use CallYourBesties to harass, stalk, surveil, threaten, impersonate, exploit, or harm anyone. You may not use the app to misuse contact information, send unlawful communications, violate privacy or publicity rights, or collect information about someone in a way that is illegal or unsafe.

You may not scrape, reverse engineer, interfere with, overload, bypass security for, or abuse the app, its APIs, Supabase backend, website, or related infrastructure. You may not use automated systems to access the service except as allowed by CallYourBesties in writing.

App Functionality And Availability

CallYourBesties is currently free to use with usage limits. Limits may apply to friends, reminders, Talk About items, and details. The app may change, experience errors, lose network access, or be unavailable from time to time.

Notifications and reminders are convenience features. They may be delayed, missed, duplicated, unavailable, or disabled by device settings, operating system behavior, permissions, network conditions, or app errors. You should not rely on CallYourBesties for urgent, emergency, safety-critical, medical, legal, financial, or professional reminders.

Forecast And Recap

Friendship Forecast and Friendship Recap are informational and productivity features derived from the information you save. They are not professional advice, relationship counseling, mental health advice, emergency advice, or a guarantee about any relationship.

Account Deletion And Termination

Signed-in users may delete their account through the Profile screen by choosing Delete account and completing the in-app confirmation. Signing out is not account deletion and does not remove synced cloud data. Account deletion removes your CallYourBesties account and connected app data, subject to the retention limits described in the Privacy Policy.

Email megha.s.devaraj@gmail.com if you need help with account deletion. Protected demo and App Review test accounts may be blocked from self-service permanent deletion and reset through a separate protected process.

CallYourBesties may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create risk for others, abuse the service, or if continuing to provide the service would create legal, security, or operational risk. After deletion or termination, your right to use the app ends, but provisions that by their nature should survive will continue to apply.

Third-Party Services And Links

The app relies on third-party services and platforms, including Supabase, Expo, Apple, Google, mobile operating systems, website hosting, and email services. Third-party websites, sign-in providers, share destinations, app stores, and device settings are controlled by their own terms and privacy policies.

Intellectual Property

CallYourBesties and its software, design, branding, and other materials are owned by CallYourBesties or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of the app or the right to use CallYourBesties branding except as needed to use the app.

Feedback

If you send ideas, bug reports, or feedback, you allow CallYourBesties to use them without restriction or compensation. This does not give CallYourBesties ownership of your private friendship data.

Disclaimers

CallYourBesties is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent allowed by law. CallYourBesties does not promise that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely secure, or that any reminders, sync, forecasts, recaps, or notifications will always be accurate or available.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, CallYourBesties will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or loss of goodwill arising from or related to your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

Indemnification

To the extent allowed by law, you agree to defend and hold harmless CallYourBesties from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your unlawful use of the app, your violation of these Terms, or content you enter without the right to do so.

Governing Law And Disputes

The current Terms do not designate a special governing law, court venue, mandatory arbitration process, or class-action waiver. Any dispute will be handled under applicable law unless CallYourBesties updates these Terms after legal review.

Changes

CallYourBesties may change the app or these Terms as the service evolves. The Terms will show the effective date and last updated date. Continued use after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
